    Over 8.5 billion gallons of water are available in LADWP’s open-air reservoirs, including Hollywood Reservoir, Lower Stone Canyon and the Encino Reservoirs. All have been used to directly support aerial firefighting efforts and continue to be available. ow.ly/63Qe50UEWgJ

    Crews have restored power to nearly 50,000 customers affected by RS-J fire/power outage as of 10pm. 94,000 remain out, crews are working.

    Rolling blackouts briefly experienced in CA tonight did NOT affect residents of @LACity. We own our own power plants and transmission lines and had enough supply to meet demand + req’d reserves. We encourage our customers to conserve to help state grid and reduce strain on system

    Under current conditions, customers experiencing outages should expect crews to respond between 12-24 hours from the time the outages are reported. Restoration may take longer depending on field conditions. TY for your understanding. Our crew won't stop until all are restored.

    As we approach today’s peak heat and electricity use, we ask all customers to conserve energy thru 10pm tonight. Close drapes and blinds, set AC’s to 78-82, skip laundry and using lg appliances. If we all do a little it adds up to a LOT of savings and can help prevent outages.

    Our crews are responding to the outage affecting some neighborhoods on the Westside. The outage was caused by a fire at one of our receiving stations located nearby. We are working with @LAFD and will provide updates as we get more info from the field.
