There's a young Syrian man that came to Canada as a refugee in my neighborhood. I watched him struggle to get accustomed to living here, get an education & a job. Yesterday he dropped by the pharmacy Him: still collecting donations for Ukranian refugees? Me: yes Him: here's $100

Today I had the honor of providing this man with his first dose at #LawlorPharmasave #pharmacy . "I want everyone to know this, vaccines are the best way to combat this disease". - #MichaelKovrig *Shared with permission*

To the lady that had a melt down at the pharmacy today because she was offered Moderna instead of Pfizer. You're picking and choosing between different types of lobster for lunch while the world starves. Enjoy your night.

The reality is you have a virus. The reality is you have limited hospital capacity. The reality is masks and vaccines decrease the need for hospitalization due to the virus. Being angry at reality is not a protest, it is a tantrum.

We have a surge in people coming in to pick up rapid tests at the pharmacy. This is how I know there's a spike.

Met so many wonderful teachers while vaccinating today, but one face stood out. Ms. Filazola showed up for a vaccine, she was my high school science teacher.

This guy used to defend me from bullies in highschool, he's a teacher now. Dropped in for a vaccine.

Hands down, the most difficult day I had all year. Then we gave a seven year old girl with down syndrome her first dose. As a reward for her bravery we had her do the chant, she rang the bell and shouted "shots in the arm" staff yelled back "COVID GONE". I cried.

A pregnant friend was due to deliver a baby today, baby is going to require heart surgery at birth. They postponed her induction and sent her home because Sick Kids hospital doesn't have the capacity to look after the newborn. Our pediatric hospitals are struggling. Pray for MJ

For all the "masks don't work" folk, do you cover your mouths when you cough? Or is there a hidden political agenda behind that too?

Caught three positive cases yesterday. I will repeat: symptomatic testing in pharmacies should only be done outdoors.

The government is dropping #maskmandate . Fortunately, I don't take medical advice from government.

A staff member got COVID in November, tested positive again yesterday. Rest of the staff is ok because of a strict mask policy. Moral of the story: removing #maskmandate on Monday is the most foolish decisions in the last 2 years. Enjoy your weekend.

To all the ladies that received their vaccines at Lawlor Pharmacy over the past year, you're welcome.
