    Cassidy Rowe - This situation deeply saddens me. I understand that basketball is now a business and scholarships are not guaranteed for four years. However Cassidy deserved better, she deserved a senior night and to hear the cheers again from her fans for this mountain legend.

    Big moment of the Sweet 16 for me personally - ZaKiyah Johnson needing 2 pts for the all time scoring record in a championship game passed up a short jumper to find Angelina Pelayo who needed one point to reach career 1,000 pts and Pelayo converted a FT to reach it. TEAMWORK

    Will Hardin - 6-5 2022 Madison Central It seems sometimes that Hardin gets overlooked in discussions about the elite players in the 11th region. Last years numbers 16.2 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 57.1% FG, 46.2 3-PT %, and 79.8 % FT impressive to me.

    Isabella Lewis (West Jessamine) suffered a horrifying car crash on Saturday night and from looking at the car I don't see how anyone could have survived. God has special plans for her. Prayers for a quick and complete recovery, looking forward to seeing you back on the court.

    Jaiden Lawrence - 6-4 2022 Warren Central 10.1 PPG, 42.0% FG, 34.2% 3-PT, 58.8% FT, and 4.9 RPG last season. Athletic, finishes above rim, good catch and shoot from long range, team player with good skills.

    I once heard a player tell a coach, " I can give you 15 points a game" and he responded " Yes, but you will give up 25 on defense." Sometimes shots will not fall but defense never needs to take a play off. Defense will get you on the floor.

    WGM Holiday Classic - Will Hardin 6-4 2022 Madison Central I have been viewing high school basketball since they cut the bottom out of the peach basket and this is one of the most fundamentally sound high school players I have ever seen. Does it all well at the high school level

    Hayden Barrier - 5-8 2025 Montgomery County finished 2021 with an 18.1 ppg and helping her team to a 11-3 record. She saved the best for her last game in the calendar year scoring 34 points and leading her team to a Gateway Tournament Championship over a good Ashland Blazer team

    Congratulations to all the teams that made it to the Sweet 16. There can only be one champion but there are no losers at Rupp Arena. Out of all the teams that laced up their sneakers in October only 16 made it to the "Big Show" Take a moment and reflect and enjoy the moment.

    Girls Basketball - The Class of 2025 has the potential to be one of the top classes I remember over the years. Several are highly ranked nationally and the list is deep and talented I will mention several girls over the next week and will add more throughout the season

    Meadow Tisdale - 5-11 2023 Bowling Green scores, rebounds, and passes the ball. Can create her own shot or create opportunities for others, plays tough defense and blocks shots.
