    Tax paid by people in Chennai, is used for development in Ariyalur. Tax paid by men, is used for free bus rides for women. Tax paid by people in plains, is used for electrification of hilly hamlets. Bottomline: Main purpose of tax is to redistribute money, to balance out

    Tax funds are meant for constructing colleges. Temple donations are meant for maintaining temples. Period. If a High GDP state like Tamil Nadu has to tap into the Temple Hundi to fund government colleges, there is something seriously wrong with the way tax funds are being used.
