- I love the fact bulletproof masks exist. And no video of some smartass shooting at it point blank with an AR going "see, it finally went through, these things are useless" will convince me it's not awesome. We're still in the age of armor.
Hunter concept art for The Division - A so called "bishop's mantle". This kind of maille cape was used by military men during the 16th century, most famously by the German Landsknechts. It is also part of Sir VIilheim's suit of armor in Dark Souls III.
- Not the same, but I've always liked these photos of American soldiers meeting the Swiss guard in 1944.
Does anyone have more of this genre of image of old and new cultures colliding - That building's construction started in the late 19th century btw.You only need some peasants with hammers and chisels in your hands to achieve this feat.

Capes on plate armour are cringe btw. - I gotta start re-uploading this video myself with the correct caption because It keeps coming back and It's ALWAYS wrong. This is 16th century Greenwich armor.

- More fantasy should do guns. The co-existance of armor and firearms is one of the most interesting periods in human history and It's a really good way to add variety to traditional RPG classes. It also leads us to the coolest thing ever: Knights with guns!
