- Strong comments from @Senator_Patrick in estimates tonight on the Bernard Collaery prosecution: '60,000 Timorese died supporting us in WW2. And what did we do? We went and stole their oil. The thing that was going to bring them out of poverty. They thought we were their friends.'
- Two years ago this month, Mogo, NSW was devastated by the bushfires. Today, its main street is underwater. We need climate action and we need it now.

- Big climate litigation news: The Full Federal Court will deliver its decision in the federal Environment Minister's appeal in the Sharma matter on Tuesday at 1015am. Last year, Bromberg J had found the Minister owed the teenager plaintiffs a duty of care to prevent climate harm.
- Today is a good day. But this must be the beginning, not the end, of decisive govt action on whistleblowing. David McBride & Richard Boyle are also on trial for telling the truth. Their cases must be dropped. The PID Act must be reformed & a whistleblowing authority established.
- Watching the devastating stories of flood damage on @abc730 is maddening. What is government for if not to help Australians in need during a disaster? We seem to be getting worse, not better, at supporting those during and after disasters. It’s mindblowing.
- I’ve been a journalist for 12 years now. I’ve been published thousands of times. But it is truly a huge thrill to make the print version of @nytimes for the first time. It’s a honour to tell stories, to have people place their trust in you. I hope I do them justice.
