    Thank you to the many thousands of people across the whole of the NHS & social care who helped deliver the care during the pandemic. Has been a strange and difficult day. But felt it was important to give witness to some small part of the enormity of the challenge we all faced.

    Today was hard. Can’t lie. Mum’s funeral. Smaller & briefer than I’d hoped but feel fortunate that we were able to have it at all. First day off from #COVID19 since it all began. Still so much to do. Back on it tomorrow. Love you Mum. We’ll make you proud.

    I’ve been in hospitals all over the country this past fortnight, they’re all running hot. #NHS teams who haven’t stopped since March are facing a rapid new surge in #Covid19 cases. They need your help. Stay at home where you can. Wear a mask & keep your distance where you can’t.

    Moving Dad out of the house today. Been here 35 years but he can’t quite manage on his own anymore. Tough day for all of us. But looks like Mum booked an appropriately magnificent sunset to see us off.
