The Rate Of Teen Suicide In Colorado Increased By 58% In 3 Years, Making It The Cause Of 1 In 5 Adolescent Deaths
But yeah.. pot legalization has been awesome.
Let's bust some pot myths everyone!
1) 95-97% of people who use heroin/cocaine started with pot.
2) Most kids get pot for free from friends/fam - not from some shady gang member.
3) Most people who us pot also abuse alcohol - they're complements, not substitutes.
What else??
My piece against the legalization of all drugs in the @washingtonpost today:
“when drugs are legal, their price plummets, availability soars, and the commercialization and industrialization machines take hold. It’s a recipe for incredible damage.
In today's version of "What the Pot Lobby Won't Tell You"
NEW STUDY: "A large number of young people who could develop depression and suicidality attributable to cannabis..."
Significant increases depression, suicidal ideation and attempts.
*1 in 4* young Canadians drove high or got into a car with someone who was stoned.
I get how legalization helps the shareholders of pot companies, but please don’t delude yourself into thinking it helps young people one bit.
Remember when they said no one has died from marijuana? Tell that to the family of this 11-day-old who died due to acute marijuana toxicity
Newborn’s Death Linked to Acute Marijuana Toxicity
Cannabis use by young people may be tied to depression and anxiety, CAMH study finds
“...we thought we'd find a reduction... and quite to the contrary we found an increase."

Mike Bloomberg today: Pot legalization “doesn’t make any sense at all.”
“To make it easier for people to engage in a behavior that has a significant possibility of damaging people’s health is just nonsensical..."
