In addition to being sued over a mask mandate and voluntary advisory guidelines on COVID-19, @GovKemp has asked for an emergency injunction to “restrain” me from issuing press statements and speaking to the press. Far more have sacrificed too much more for me to be silent.

3104 Georgians have died and I and my family are amongst the 106k who have tested positive for COVID-19. Meanwhile, I have been sued by @GovKemp for a mask mandate. A better use of tax payer money would be to expand testing and contact tracing. #ATLStrong

We FINALLY received our test results taken 8 days before. One person in my house was positive then. By the time we tested again, 1 week later, 3 of us had COVID. If we had known sooner, we would have immediately quarantined. Perhaps the National Guard can help with testing too.

My aunt, Ruby Doris Smith Robinson, then @SpelmanCollege student, spent nearly 3 months in jail in Jackson, Miss as a Freedom Rider. She was one of the founders of SNCC and died at 26, before I was born. @repjohnlewis cried each time he spoke of her bravery to me. #GoodTrouble

My husband began his day with an appointment for a MRI, scheduled because nearly two months after COVID, he still awakes with debilitating headaches. This pandemic was purposely downplayed and nearly 190k lives have been lost and countless others are suffering the consequences.

Quarantine is over and Mama showed up between morning and afternoon meetings with shears in hand to trim me up. She hasn’t done hair in over a decade, but Mama still got IT! Now....back to life, back to reality....
