    The abuse directed at @Alan__Browne after @FAIreland lost on penalties last night is shocking & disgusting. He is a proud Irishman, who accepted the responsibility of taking a penalty under the most intense pressure, that takes guts, that shows character.

    It’s with the saddest of hearts that I say goodbye to one of my best mates, Alan McLoughlin. He was a fighter, full of northern grit, with a razor sharp wit to match but most of all he was a true gentleman & friend. Our Hearts & prayers are with Deby, Abby & Megan RIP my friend🙏
