A lovely retired teacher has just insisted on buying me my coffee in Starbucks. I was behind her in the queue & we got talking. She said: "We teachers should always treat each other with kindness & respect because we so rarely get it from society." I felt choked. What a lady 🌟

My neighbours are 86 & 96 and have spent the day enjoying the sunshine in the garden. They’ve had a mid-morning coffee and lunch outside, and an afternoon nap. There’s even been giggling. And now they are having wine!!!! I, on the other hand, have been in front of my laptop 🙃

I'm increasingly reminded of just how important a school's office team are. That 'front of house' type role is very complex and in busy schools, must be a real challenge. They set the tone. They are the first receivers of smiles and frustration; I take my hat off to them.

I can’t decide if buying 6 bottles of M&S’ Prosecco today was the best or worst decision for my household of myself and Meg the cat 😸💃🏻

“Teachers have never stopped working.” “Teachers want to go back to school.” “They just want to know it is safe for them to do so with the testing and tracing in place and the science published to safeguard them.” Fair, concise and transparent from @AngelaRayner #Marr

My friend's got a primary place for her son in an RI school. Another friend asked if she minded. A resounding NO; out of all the options, this school's HT was the most passionate about her extremely hardworking & committed team. This response has filled me with joy. Go that HT!

I’m truly devastated to say that Meg, the absolute love of my life and my spirit animal, had to be put to sleep today. I’m heartbroken. I got her from the rescue centre but Meg was the one who did the rescuing of this wild heart of mine. Meg Morgan was the best of my household 💔

Two weeks ago, the vet suggested I start to brush Meg the cat’s teeth! Although healthy, she has some plaque. I took note & bought the (expensive) brush & paste. Typing now with my bionic hand, I can confirm that Meg shall not be having her teeth brushed again. Never. Ever.

I appreciate everyone has different views about behaviour/ exclusion. When I was DHT at my old school we did everything to hold on to a particular boy. He's just come on stage as a Sea Cadet at the B'ham Remembrabce Concert & I'm overwhelmed to see him. Never lose faith in them.
