Pregnant GP friend saw a patient with coronavirus last week. He wasn't displaying symptoms at the time but she also had no PPE to wear for any face to face that day. She and her husband, a surgeon, now both have symptoms and he is due on call on Mon. We must test NHS workers.

Just. What. Is. Going. On. This is the weirdest bit of political imagery. All credit to @BBCNewsnight for filming this excellent moment.

On Owen Patterson and Geoffrey Cox one Tory backbencher tells me that they think the 'PM is in far more danger than he realises at the moment, from the party. There is massive anger over what has happened...

Kensington MP Felicity Buchan in the Commons asks if the Gov will commit to implementing the first phase of recommendations on building and fire safety as quickly as possible. Erm, I think you could have voted for just that the other night in a Labour amendment. #grenfell

I think MPs tweeting mindlessly about Priti Patel being really nice to them personally, is entirely missing the point of this investigation, and the nature of bullying. It doesn't matter that it didn't happen to you! She's apologised but her behaviour did not meet standards.

I struggled a lot in my first term at uni. Not being able to socialise, combined with 'you can't go home for xmas' threats ... I'd have just quit. Scot & Eng going to be picking up a huge mental health tab. It's a balance & this feels it's tipped too far in the wrong direction.

Five Tories voted to support a Labour motion. This is really significant - much of the time it's just an abstention. This group have really laid their cards on the table - Caroline Ansell - Robert Halfon - Jason McCartney - Anne Marie Morris - Holly Mumby Croft #freeschoolmeals

Interestingly Cummings can't remember if he had a view on Eat Out To Help Out....one of the biggest policies of the entire pandemic and recovery. No shade thrown Rishi Sunak's way today.

    Really inappropriate political point scoring.
As a father and husband it breaks me to think that my wife and daughter have to live in fear in their own city. It doesn’t have to be this way. As Mayor, I‘ll ensure that we are working to deliver for the safety of women and girls in London. mylondon.news/news/south-lon…

I think both Whitty and Valance were more than able to give their own response to journalists and didn't need the PMs intervention which looked dreadful.

If you can charter a private plane for 200 animals, you can do it for 200 children likely to die from malnutrition this winter in Afghanistan.

Minister Robert Jenrick says the government on each occasion took the best scientific advice... Sage said a circuit breaker should be considered for immediate introduction from minutes dated September 21. That did not happen until November.

After 7 incredible years in the lobby + 13 as a journalist, I am leaving next month to join @savechildrenuk as their UK News Lead to work on their child poverty projects in the UK. It's been a wild ride covering British politics in the most tumultous period for decades.
