Trevor Lawrence was a pretty good little league pitcher too.

Instant Classic tonight. Ethan Wolfe of Leslie County has ice in his veins. Checks in the game against Harlan. Three ball . . .good.

Rex will take a shot. Anywhere. Anytime. Open. Guarded. Doesn't care. If he's in the gym, he's taking the shot. Now go take your shot!

Fisher. Such a nice girl. She started team at her school. They were terrible. They just wanted to have fun. Kentucky made it illegal for her to play on her team. It was so cruel.

Cassidy Rowe's father (Lonnie Rowe) appeared on the Alan Cutler radio program yesterday and indicated she was kicked off the team, her scholarship was pulled, the family was blindsided by it, and that he considered it classless. Listen for yourself. nationofblue.com/cassidy-rowes-…

Probably the greatest photograph taken in the history of Kentucky high school sports. The 1956 state semifinals at Memorial Coliseum. Carr Creek-Wayland. A snapshot to another time.

Jared Lorenzen, age 38, died today. He was a Kentucky original. Jared pictured in '98 leading the Bluebirds past Male 51-41 in the first image. In the other one, he competes in the '97 State Tournament against Eastern. He was a legit two-sport legend in high school for Highlands.

No. 9. Chris Lofton. Mason County. Lofton won 3 10th region titles, a state title in '03 and a runner-up in 04. Kentucky's most unconscious big-game shooter of all time? Maybe. Scored 2,763 career points. 252 at state alone!

You know how Richie got better? He put in the work. On the side of a mountain. And he didn't have one of them fancy fiberglass banking boards neither.
