I'm proud to ring in the new year and be sworn in as Kentucky's 36th Commissioner of Agriculture.
I'm honored by the opportunity to serve our state as Ag Commissioner and I'm ready to get to work fighting for our farm families and our Kentucky values.
I'm grateful to every Kentuckian who believed in me and chose me as Commissioner of Agriculture for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
What an honor to serve our farm families and fight for Kentucky values.
Thank you, Kentucky! Let's get to work!
Wrapping up my first month at the @kentuckyag. I appreciate our staff and the roles they play in offering a wide variety of programs and services for producers and consumers. I am proud to work with them every day on behalf of farmers across the state.
What an honor to stand alongside my friend and neighbor Treasurer Mark Metcalf as we both took an oath to serve our great state. This is the first time two Garrard Countians have been elected into constitutional office to serve within the same term.
Serving as Kentucky's Agriculture Commissioner is the best job in the world.
I am thankful for the opportunity to work on behalf of Kentuckians and farm families across the Commonwealth.
ICYMI: Thank you @bgdailynews for sitting down with me to take a deeper dive into the goals my team and I plan to execute going into the next 4 years.

You can't beat a Kentucky Proud breakfast with bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy.
At the @kentuckyag we are focused on promoting local farmers and their products. That's exactly what we did this morning as we visited with legislators and others at the Capitol.
This morning, I spoke with the Senate's Agriculture Committee about @kentuckyag goals. I appreciate the chance to discuss the economic impacts of agriculture, the various responsibilities of the department and of course how Kentucky continues to be the Horse Capitol of the World.
Giving thanks to Him and the plan he has placed before me and my family.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:28
Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet the kids of Kyrock Elementary in Edmonson County. We checked out @kentuckyag’s Mobile Science Activity Center and got to make some cool green slime!
