    I don't think this has ever happened before. All 254 Texas counties are under a Winter Storm Warning... So is every county in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Brr! #RGV #RGVWX #TXWX

    There is a chance of snow Friday morning, but it's VERY small. Mainly just scattered rain showers, but a few flakes may mix in. Any that fall will melt right away. Still not a sure thing. We'll keep you posted.

    One of the best meteor showers of the year, the #Perseids, peaks tonight after 12am. To maximize the number of meteors you see, get away from city lights. You'll also want to keep the moon to your back and look at the darkest part of the sky. #shootingstar

    Late Thursday night/early Friday morning, snow will be falling in the the mountains of Mexico. Some models want to sneak a little snow/rain mix into South Texas. More than likely just a cold rain, but it's something to keep an eye on. Stay tuned.

    This disturbance now has a 70% chance of formation in the next 2 and 7 days. The main impact from this system is looking to be localized heavy rainfall. The best chance for rain for us here in the valley is Monday evening through Wednesday. #rgv #rgvwx

    With sustained winds now at 75 mph, Hanna is officially a category 1 hurricane. The current forecast calls for 70-90 mph wind gusts in Willacy County and 50-70 mph wind gusts for the rest of the Valley. Widespread flooding is likely in the #RGV especially this evening & overnight

    {4:00pm Wed} The cold front is expected to arrive Thursday late afternoon/early evening. It'll come with torrential rainfall, cloud to ground lightning, and wind gusts of up to 50 mph. Temperatures will be slow to cool, but it will be cooler through the weekend. #rgv #rgvwx

    #RGV #Weather #Forecast A true rain/snow mix expected across the Valley late Thursday night thru early Friday morning. The farther north and west you are, the more snow you'll see. The farther south and east you live, the tougher it will be to see any flakes.

    The National Hurricane Center has increased the chance for a tropical depression or storm in the Gulf of Mexico. They have a 40% chance for formation from Monday - Wednesday. Use this as a reminder to revisit stay/go plans, restock supplies, and check home/business resilience.
