NCAA President Charlie Baker is pushing for the proposal to allow DI athletes five years of eligibility to be voted on as emergency legislation in May, with implementation the next month. Baker is also in support of DI having a legal tampering window like we see in the NFL.

Youth baseball parents...spend $10 on a wiffle ball and bat and tell your kid to go outside and play with their friends. Let them structure the games and the rules. Youth players desperately need more of this.

To all the youth baseball parents out there…College coaches and pro scouts are evaluating you too. I’ve seen players lose opportunities because of their parents. - Don’t yell at opposing players/fans - Don’t yell at umps - Be respectful - Enjoy the game #baseballrecruiting

Uncommitted high school baseball players… When you get to the next level, nobody will care when you committed to the school. The coaches won’t care. The players won’t care. Nobody cares. So, keep working. Know you will prove it on the field. Your journey is your own.

Rosters, especially at the D1 level, are transactional & have been for a while. Players find a place that NEEDS you & WANTS you. If you commit, you CANNOT let up. Every day is a battle to keep your spot. Sometimes, you’ve done everything right and it still doesn’t work out.
