- Replying to @Justin_Halford_That’s what I thought too. These companies filter out candidates so much to the point where it’s probably easier to get into YC and make a successful startup
- my friends in big tech brag about 6 figures then I look around #RDC25 and everybody’s humble af while making 7 figures 💀 there’s levels to this
- the university of waterloo is no joke, going around SF everyone knows the university. so many engineers and startup founders that I bump into around the area are Waterloo students
- waterloo students will get ONE Cali co-op and will permanently change their linkedin location to SF 💀
- management engineering at waterloo is insanely underrated you get waterloo’s co-op, way easier courses, brand name, professors that care about their jobs, and more software exposure than any other engineering program
- Toronto is like NYC housing with San Francisco grocery prices and Detroit level salaries
- i think working at tesla shaved off 5 years from my life span
- waterloo lets you skip your midterms and it’s the best thing ever
- where does waterloo rank compared to the other Ivy league schools? Def better than Cornell and Dartmouth but what about the rest?
