    Mayor Adams is having fun with 20,000 maskless friends at Knicks game today.  Tomorrow he will force 3-year-olds to mask for speech therapy and Kindergartners to mask for recess outdoors. Adult recreation once again takes precedence over children’s developmental needs.

    Governor Hochul is “not ready” for toddlers to unmask for early intervention services. But she was ready to shed her own mask last night to party with Broadway stars. We’re way past indifference. This is downright cruelty.

    The CDC now recommends universal masking for flu and RSV. These viruses have been around forever, and we've never recommended masking before. What new evidence is there that masking will decrease asymptomatic spread of flu and RSV?

    As you enjoy your weekend, kindly remember the 500,000 American children locked out of school this month. Bars and stadiums are packed, but many kids will go hungry, miss out on vital therapies, and suffer depression in silence. Adults, I hope you all feel safer.

    The CDC now recommends that even vaccinated and boosted individuals wear N95s. Parents, before putting N95s on your kids this week, wear one yourself all day tomorrow and Monday. Then get back to me.

    High school seniors’ last full year of normal school was 8th grade. For freshmen, it was 5th grade. For 3rd graders, it was never. Kids only have one childhood. I don’t care if the sky is falling - school can’t ever be disrupted again.

    COVID shutdowns robbed me of ages 35.5 to 37 - upsetting, but not the end of the world. A high school freshman was robbed of ages 12.5 to 14 - immensely important developmental years. Is it any wonder our children are struggling to acclimate to this scary new world?

    Seeing 71,000 maskless screaming fans at the Super Bowl made me very worried about COVID spread. But then I remembered that 5-year-olds will have cloth masks on their face tomorrow, so crisis averted! We’ll all be safe now!

    New study shows that covid school closures affected cognitive and motor development in preschoolers. Learning loss is most pronounced in kids most at risk.     President Biden just declared the COVID-19 pandemic "over" on 60 Minutes. In NYC, unvaccinated parents cannot enter their children's school and unvaccinated high schoolers cannot join the basketball team. Why is the pandemic "over" everywhere but schools?
