    BBC, This framing is an egregious & mischievous simplification. Africa's fight for independence was shaped in the hearts, minds & actions of our freedom heroes, our people. In their blood. Let us never reduce their struggle and sacrifice to a cushy convening in Manchester.

    Kimathi wa Waciuri also known as Dedan Kimathi. I love this image of him. If I had any artistic talent I would paint this. Here, we see so much more of Kimathi. In most images we see the struggle in the man; a man in the midst of a struggle. I believe those images were shared
