I was a Republican for 45 years. The fact that this mean-spirited, demented fool Trump is the nominee of the party for three straight election cycles is just unfathomable.

- Just made it official. After 45 years as a registered Republican, I am now an Unaffiliated voter. I leave the GOP having won 4 statewide elections in NC as the Republican nominee. Only 3 others in NC history have won more.

- Very frustrating that Yancey County (just northeast of Asheville) has been missing from news coverage of the disaster hitting WNC. Cut off by damage to the two bridges leading into Burnsville, no power, no cell coverage, people unaccounted for - they NEED HELP.
- I know that I've blocked a multitude of MAGA crazies, but I have not seen one tweet saying, "I've been a life-long Democrat and I'm voting for Trump." But I see scores of "I'm a lifelong Republican and I'm voting Harris." on this site.
