    As the search at Haut du Mont has progressed, pockets of fire have been discovered. The site remains highly unsafe. A South West Hazardous Area Response Team are on site and will be joined by an Urban Search and Rescue Team from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service.

    As wind speed increases we're seeing an increase in calls. We currently have 8 crews out dealing with incidents, mainly in St Clement and St Helier. The highest wind speed recorded is 104mph. Please follow advice and don't go outside. Conditions are very dangerous.

    Fire crews have attended 53 calls tonight since 6pm. We are continuing to respond to the calls coming in and will remain out in those areas that need us.

    Today, we say goodbye to our brilliant Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Jane Philpott, who is retiring after almost 30 years in firefighting. Jane joined us in Jersey 18 months ago, after an established career at @LondonFire where she reached the position of Assistant Commissioner.

    White Watch carried out a cliff rescue this evening. A woman had fallen approx. 200 feet and was found alive.

    6 Jersey firefighters are heading to Poland on 18 April, delivering two de-commissioned vehicles and vital equipment which are being donated to Ukrainian firefighters. Good luck to firefighters Luke Burton, Matt Coote, John Richardson, Richard Wilson, Brian Brown & Graham Stokes.

    1/2 The search and rescue operation had been moved to a recovery operation. The decision was made after a detailed assessment and following the use of specialist K9 units.

    Earlier this evening, emergency services responded to a casualty whoโ€™d fallen from cliffs at La Moye. Firefighters and ambulance crews used specialist rope equipment to reach the casualty and rescue him safely. The casualty was treated on scene, before being taken to hospital.

    Red Watch have just rescued a dog which had fallen off cliffs at Beauport. Harvey, the 11 month old Staffordshire Terrier, was successfully reunited with his owner having escaped serious injury.

    ...and this is incredibly sad. Fire safety in heritage buildings is often difficult but always vital. Thoughts with @PompiersParis doing the best they can in very challenging circumstances.
