It still blows my mind that two Green MPs represent rural farming constituencies 🤯 I wonder what farmers in their areas would think of the way their party thinks about farming livelihoods 🤔🚜🚨 NEW: The Green Party’s Makerfield candidate Sarah Wakefield runs a charity which calls for British farming to be “decolonised” with “inclusive spaces” It also shared a report arguing perfectionism is an example of “white supremacy culture” [@billcurtis0 / @daisyeastlake]- Yet another example of Reform (or probably more accurately their overseas advisors) trying to Americanise our politics 🇺🇸👎🏻 Add it to the list along with “DEI”, “drain the swamp”, “woke”, “executive orders” and “Make Britain great again” 🙄🥱We simply don't call them locker rooms in this country
- It was great to be out in a scorching #Makerfield this weekend, pounding the streets for @andy4makerfield 😎☀️🌡️ Voters in Hindley Green were clear that Andy standing changes things, and many who voted Reform a few weeks ago will be backing Labour on 18th June 🗳️🌹

The Tories refused to negotiate. We have negotiated - with BMA officers, who agreed it and recommended it to their committee. Their committee rejected it and have refused to meet me repeatedly. There is fault here, but it’s not the Government’s. It takes two to tango.All very well. But when it was the Tories having to deal with the hard-left resident doctors’ leaders, Labour pols like Wes Streeting said a deal could be reached if only the Tory government negotiated with them properly. So what’s the excuse for no deal now? - You’ve got to admire the self-awareness of a party that left behind crumbling roads up and down the country dropping this announcement on April Fool’s Day 🤪👌🏻Vote Conservative for fewer potholes!
