    Why is @BBC giving airtime to the Maxwell family on their main news bulletin? Ghislaine was found guilty of sex trafficking. The Maxwell family cannot accept the verdict. Families of abusers who travel on buses, not luxury cars or yachts, do not get this platform.

    Thank you everyone so much for the tips and support re son's A-Level dilemma. Son was offered an engineering place at Sheffield - a fantastic university and great student City. It has been a mad scramble but I am delighted for him. Onwards.

    Son achieved AAA in Physics, Further Maths and Maths and no offer from First Choice or Insurance University. Now doing mad scramble for Clearing places. Stress levels are high.
    Tension is running high in the household ahead of A-Level results tomorrow, which determine university places for hundreds of thousands of 18 year-olds in the UK. Meanwhile A-Level son has calmly trotted off to the pub. #A-Level2024

    Son has AAAB in Physics, Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry for A-Levels. Currently scrambling through Clearing for him. He has his heart set on Mechanical Engineering. Poor kid just missed his conditional offer at MCR.

    I have covered UK university sector disputes over #pension cuts since 2017 and can say that I have not seen members so angry as they are today over fresh cuts to their retirement benefits. The anger has reached a new depth. This does feel like a turning point. #USS #UUK #UCU
