The Palisades Fire moved in so quickly, evacuees panicked. Every car represents someone or a family that, in fear, abandoned their cars, and fled on foot. The wind could reach 100 mph tonight.
This is near Brentwood. Flames moving in. Iāve never seen fire behavior like this. Itās a wind-driven ember storm with sparks carried more than a mile away. If you are in a threatened area, be safe and just evacuate. The last minute panic is mentally scarring.
This is Bowdoin St in Pacific Palisades. Every home is on fire. Crews arenāt trying to save them. Theyāre trying to put out flames before they ignite other neighborhoods.

Itās heartbreaking to witness the loss of a vibrant community. So many landmarks have already been lost to the Palisades Fire and sadly the worst is yet to come. So far the fire has not reached the Palisades Village - the main shopping area, but flames are blocks away.
