- 12 years ago this morning, LBdr Mark Chandler was shot at close quarters and died in my arms. The perfect soldier; loyal to the last. His parents never recovered, and both died prematurely. Afghan casts a long shadow. Much more to do. See you at the Valhalla brother 🫶

- 14 years ago this morning, Mark was shot in the face next to me and died in my arms. I’m sure he’d be very happy now, got married, had babies, built a family. But he gave it all up for his Country. I will never forget him.
