Not exactly the hottest of takes. I'd heard this one 30 years ago, and I'll say now what I said then: if "anime" means only "animation made in Japan," it's a pretty useless, repetitive word—we already had “Japanimation.” Using it to describe a style or genre has value.

I don't want to look - and yet I can't look away.
- Replying to @SpinachbrahUmmm...Nietzsche isn't ancient or mediaeval. He lived into the 20th century. Nor is he particularly obscure. You'd have done better citing, say, Heraclitus of Ephesus, Martianus Cappella, or Bernard of Chartres.
- Replying to @JeremyTate41The Sainte-Chapelle (in Paris, worse luck!)
- Replying to @jaredhmooreThis was the man I wanted in the White House, ages ago. Of course, he had no chance, because he actually wanted Americans to live up to their greatness.
- Replying to @realDailyWire and @libsoftiktokHOW can Libs of TikTok have posted false information when the account simply reposts what Leftists themselves have said?
- Replying to @MattWalshBlogI could never emulate Matt's style, myself; but his achievements in the fight against child murder and child mutilation are undeniable. I wish that we could more often persuade than bludgeon, but if bludgeoning is what it takes, I'm not going to complain that Matt's hits hard.
- Replying to @shinbosonWeren't those boys all from a strict *Catholic* school?
- Replying to @politicorogerI'd subtract one Ruth Bader Ginsburg from my life for one more hour to live.
- Replying to @TaylorRMarshallI do think Fr. Pavone went a bit too far in placing the body of an aborted child on a table which was used as an altar; I do not believe he was deliberately blaspheming. In any case, his being so severely punished for his anti-abortion extremism seems wildly disproportionate.
- Replying to @imJustRed and @RedLightning420You know you're REALLY old if you watched cartoons on THIS TV.
- Replying to @DannieMadsen17 and @cosmic_marvel"Two-Spirit" is a non-traditional pan-Indian umbrella term coined in 1990 to describe people who consider themselves outside the usual range of sexuality in some indigenous American tribes.
- Replying to @prageruAbortion: because if the right of the innocent to life is not recognized, no other right matters.
- Replying to @honestbroham and @BrittPettibone"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." May he rejoice with Our Lord forever and ever. Amen.
