Today we celebrate the birthday of John Ritter, who lost his life in 2003 due to a misdiagnosed thoracic aortic dissection (TAD). The John Ritter Foundation was created in his honor, with the goal of sparing others unnecessary suffering due to lack of awareness of this disease.

20 years ago, John left a legacy filled with love and laughter. After his untimely death, we started building a new legacy in his honor - one focused on aortic health. As time goes by, the work of the JRF brings us closer to a world without aortic dissection. #AortaEd #JohnRitter
"I want to be remembered as just a guy who was interested in the golden thread of humanity that intertwines us all together." - John Ritter

This year, it’s been 20 years since we lost him. So we’re trying to raise $20K for the 20 years and you can help by donating to the @JohnRitterFdn There are also little rewards for any donation over $20, and more for more! But any amount at all helps! onecau.se/_3aata1

Learn more about aortic dissection on our website and talk with a doctor if you have a family member with this condition. John's brother is alive today because he had surgical repair of his aorta before a dissection occurred. #AortaEd #CardioEd #GeneChat
