Today is Super Tuesday. It's called Super Tuesday because it's the opening night of the Indiana boys' basketball tournament.

- Just think: College players will excitingly tune in on Selection Sunday to see what part of Indiana they're going to.
- Why are so few schools putting scores on Twitter? Why is virtually nobody putting scores on MaxPreps? What is going on? Have they been told not to do that by someone? Anyone have answers?

- Sadly, today's attendance for the boys state basketball finals was 22,476, the lowest figure in the class era and possibly the lowest in 100 years.
- Steve Platt, highest scoring player in Indiana college basketball history, lost his battle with cancer last night. Platt scored 3,700 points and averaged 33.0 a game at Huntington College.
- NBA stops clock after every basket, gets ball at half court and still can't come up with the buzzer beaters to match an Indiana sectional.
- Next week's state finals will pit a public school against a Catholic school in each class.
- 64 IHSAA schools ended their seasons with victories. Usually that number is 4.
- Did you know? There have been 108 boys' basketball tournaments, and Lebanon is the only school that has played in every one. Lafayette Jeff, Orleans and Whiting all have played in 107.
- I bet the people in Crothersville used to say, if we ever win a sectional the world will end.
- I was still missing 21 game scores at midnight last night. I'm still missing 12 scores at 10 a.m. Someone once said he doesn't understand why I don't have scores for 2-3 days. My answer: I don't understand why I don't have scores within 5 minutes after the end of each game.
- I’m at my grandson’s 5th-grade game at HSE. It’s halftime, and he’s scored half of his team’s points. They lead 18-14. Like everyone else, I won’t report the final score.
