    If a company threatened an employee with dismissal for making or supporting an Ombudsman/IBAC referral, it would likely be an offence. ALP caucus rules mandating or threatening expulsion in such a case may or may not offend the law, but they offend the principles of integrity. JP

    John Pesutto and I have disagreed about almost everything for the last 4 years. But he has always maintained a personal civility and decency that I admire, and have appreciated. If he has been defeated in Hawthorn it’s a great loss to the Liberal Party.

    The Andrews Government’s decision to scrap the 2026 Commonwealth Games is a massive humiliation for Victoria. This decision is a betrayal of regional Victoria and confirms that Victoria is broke and Labor simply cannot manage major projects without huge cost blowouts. JP

    The reality is Daniel Andrews is leaving now because things are falling apart in Victoria and he knows it. Under Daniel Andrews, Victoria is broke and life has got harder for every Victorian. JP #springst

    Today we witnessed a dark day for democracy in Victoria. Today former IBAC Commissioner and highly-respected former Supreme Court judge Robert Redlich gave scathing evidence to the Vic Parliament’s Integrity and Oversight Committee about Premier Andrews and his misconduct.

    The Hotel Quarantine Inquiry must be reopened with witnesses being recalled and the forensic rigour conspicuously missing from the initial hearings on full display. Each concession, after stubborn and emphatic denials, betrays a collective and tacit effort to hide the truth. JP
