As I watch College baseball this weekend I’m always amazed at the fans reactions and posts. These guys work and make more sacrifices then any one can imagine. If you blast them you should be ashamed.

It’s always good to see your former players succeed, but to be able to witness it on this big of a stage is even better! We couldn’t have scripted it better if we tried!

So sorry to learn of the passing of Coach Demie Mainieri. Coach was a Legend at Miami Dade and a trail blazer for coaches like myself. It was a privilege to call him a friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to Paul and his family. May Coach Demie Rest In Peace.

Sorry to learn of Lou Brock’s passing. Another baseball icon who was a childhood idol of mine. I was able to meet him in person on several occasions and each time I walked away amazed at how down to earth he was and how he treated people he just met like he knew them for years.

Ackenhausen’s last college start before tonight was at Delgado in the 2022 South Central District Championship. He lost to Crowder College 6-4. Crowder’s starting pitcher in that game was another LSU signee, Jacob Misiorowski, who was a first round pick in the 2022 draft.

Came home to a nice surprise in the mail today. I received my Hall of Fame ring. Thanks to the NJCAA and JUCO Coaches’ Hall of Fame committee once again. I will wear it with pride.

In my occupation you meet and work with many different personalities. I can honestly say Coach Robe was a special one! He had a way of making his players not only respect the game but more importantly respect others. He taught the game of life through the game of baseball. 1of2

Words can’t describe what today means for our Delgado family. Thank you, Mrs. Benson and everyone who will make this project possible. More details coming soon!

Congratulations to Coach Mainieri on his outstanding career, on and off the field. He’s been a colleague for many years, but more importantly a friend. We both grew up in the dugout next to our dads & modeled our careers after them. I know Coach Demie is proud of a job well done!

Ed Daniels was in the business of reporting news, but did it in a way that not many could. Whether you were the Saints, Delgado baseball, or prep, you got his all. He was a true friend and a true professional. He will be missed. Godspeed, my friend!

I don’t have the words to thank Congressman Carter for this tribute to my mom. All I can say is WOW!
Maureen Rosary O'Donnell Scheuermann, our “First Lady of New Orleans Baseball”, peacefully departed this world on the eve of her 90th birthday. Her service to @CityOfNOLA will always be remembered and her light and wisdom will remain with us. Today I took to the floor to honor

Equipment day has come a long way in 35 years! Thanks to the former players and coaches who help build this tradition. Thanks also to our loyal game day sponsors who make this possible.
