To date, NYY MiLB affiliates rank... #1 Contact Quality #2 Swing Decisions ... while improving our organizational strikeout rate from 26th most in 2022 to 13th fewest in 2023. Plenty of work to be done, but great trends so far!

During the MLB playoff games, keep in mind how challenging it is to hit a fastball (at 95mph roughly .40ms). Can you recognize the pitch, make a good decision and hit it hard? Not too difficult, right? Don’t forget the pitcher has 2-4 other pitches he can throw as well...

On average, from the Dominican Republic to AAA, no organization produced better Swing Decisions and Contact Quality than @NYYPlayerDev in 2022. Very proud of our players and staff for this accomplishment! #HitStrikesHard
The Yankees minor league season concluded last night with Somerset's no-hitter to win the Eastern League Championship. Yankees full season affiliates went 393-324 (.548) with a +490 run differential this season, the third best record of any organization.

This past week, Anthony hit 7 baseballs over 100 mph, including a HR at 115.5 mph. On the season, his in-zone contact rate has improved, and his chase rate is 8%. No, those are not typos. #HSH
OF Anthony Garcia’s Player of the Week performance included a game where he went 4-4 with 2 homers for the @TampaTarpons 💪

Excited to speak this weekend at the #MNBATSummit. No matter what your developmental philosophy is it comes down to one simple question, Can You Prove it?

“…from a development standpoint, the Yankees have a supreme development system… I was like, “If I want to be the best player I can be, I’ve got to go to the Yankees.”

In 2019, a system was established to develop hitters with a simple yet methodical philosophy: Hit Strikes Hard. To date, 15 minor leaguers have made their MLB debut.

Good things happen when you hit the ball this hard. 9 balls crushed over 98 mph....and by 8 different hitters.
