    The fact that the owners of the Washington Post and the L.A. Times have contravened their editorial boards’ endorsements for President is horrifying. It appears the owners have been intimidated by a potential authoritarian president. Democracy under threat? You bet.

    It might be a good idea for all tv stations in Phila and across the state to assign one day for repeated demonstrations on how to properly mail ballots. Security envelopes are crucial. Naked ballots will not be counted. Perhaps Pa. TV can save thousands of ballots.

    Vernon Odom and I go back a ways. 42 years. We've covered a lot of politics together, at inaugurations, nominating conventions, mayoral debates, and thousands of other stories. He's a superb journalist, wise, caring, just plain smart. He's retiring tomorrow. Boy, will I miss him.

    I’ve read that Bryce Harper REALLY wants to play for the Dodgers. Then let Phillies grant him his wish! Phila shouldn’t be a $325 million consolation prize. Let’s get Dallas Keuchel and Craig Kimbrel. Winning will put fannies in the seats. #Phillies

    Keith Hernandez just said on the Mets broadcast that he has asked SNY not to make him call games against the Phillies because he doesn't like watching them play. "As far as fundamentally and defensively, the Phillies have always been just not up to it."
