Jewish on Campus is honored to attend a roundtable on antisemitism hosted at The White House this week. We thank @WhiteHouse for its commitment to combating the rise of antisemitism in the US and for highlighting student advocacy. We are bringing your voices with us.

Antisemitism on college campuses is a growing issue, and the only way to fight it is for Jewish students to support each other. Jewish on Campus is student-run for a reason. When you share your story with us, we know how to help—because we have been there too.

Hearing ideas that the Holocaust was about “religious discrimination” or just “two white groups fighting” should be alarming enough to demand change in Holocaust education.

Since Wednesday, Jewish students at Columbia University have avoided dining halls, libraries, classrooms, dorm rooms, & walkways because they don't feel safe being Jewish on campus. Jewish students have reported stories that are hard to read. Let's talk about it...

We are horrified to hear that a predominately Jewish fraternity at George Washington University was broken into and vandalized. Their Torah was destroyed.

“When I say the Holocaust wasn’t special, I mean that.” “[Hamas] fought back and killed a handful of people…” “Zionists (all of whom are white supremacists) are not invited. Ever.” These are real (yes, real) quotes from an email sent by a Columbia University club leader.

We are appalled that for the second year in a row, the AEPI house at @RutgersU was egged during their annual Yom HaShoah name reading. The Jewish fraternity is repeatedly targeted by antisemitism, and the university needs to be doing more to stop it. This is beyond unacceptable.

We’re going to put it plain and simple for you. On college campuses, “Zionist” has become a euphemism for “Jewish.” Changing the name you call us is not activism; it’s antisemitism.

Maybe Jewish students shouldn’t have to hide major parts of their Jewish identity to be welcomed into progressive campus spaces? Just a thought.

We are honored to have joined @SecondGentleman roundtable on antisemitism today. Jewish students must be at the forefront of the fight against antisemitism on college campuses, and we are thankful the @WhiteHouse gave us a seat at the table.

We are horrified by the recent display of antisemitism at Rutger’s University, and we stand in solidarity with their Jewish community. Thank you to @hinduoncampus for your allyship. As always: we are strongest when we stand together.
Our statement on recent anti-Semitism at Rutgers. We stand in support of @RutgersHillel and the entire Jewish community at Rutgers. @RutgersHSC hindustudentscouncil.org/2021/statement…

THREAD: Today, a billboard truck was seen driving around University of California, Berkeley’s campus with the words, “All in favor of banning Jews, raise your right hand.” A picture of Hitler was projected.

Breaking: the University of Toronto Student Union passed a BDS resolution limiting Jewish students’ access to resources and Jewish life on campus. @UofT has a pattern of letting Jewish students down, and it is more important than ever that the administration break that cycle.
