I know China: I also know about 95% of Western media about China over the last 3 years has been wrong. Misunderstood, misinterpreted or just lies I'm anti war and want truth about Russia and Ukraine But, since they get China so wrong, how can we trust media to get this right?

Here's a question: If these US funded Biolabs in Ukraine are for research, why are they funded by Department of Defence and not Department of Health? And why place them in what are effectively third world countries and not where the health benefits are most useful to Americans

Doesn't matter, he gained 1.4 billion fans in China. There's hardly a person in the country who doesn't know who this great man is now I got into a car yesterday with Pink Floyd music and I got into a car today, random drivers, unconnected playing Floyd music. I'm loving it

Yesterday, 1 person, working in a quarantine hotel in Guangzhou, was tested and found to be asymptomatic. So far, 131 contacts have been traced, tested and isolated. Over 59,000 residents of the area have been tested. No one else has been found positive This is how it's done

Chinese people need to be aware. International media organisations have Chinese staff scouring social media looking for people complaining - offering them interviews and writing or producing documentaries about their complaints but leaving every positive comment out

Surprisingly: Chinese people are actually better informed than "free speech" countries. They use VPNs as a matter of course and are used to searching for alternate news Americans may be able to call their president stupid but can't read an opinion on Russia! How strange

Many people think freedom of speech is so important and any restriction of it is the end of their world China doesn't prevent freedom of speech, it prevents freedom of abuse, freedom of aggressive dissent, it allows complaints but not insults And it's an incredibly stable country

Yesterday I met 2 friends for a beer. We talked about our experiences here and how media in our countries slander China. A Canadian, a Brit and an Australian with 48 years combined living in China and not one of us could think of a single event when we felt oppressed in China
