D&D is a co-op game, in which we weave fantasy tales for our mutual bliss.
If someone wants to play a hero in a wheelchair, for example, uphold their bliss, especially if that hero reflects their real-life experience.
We're all happier when we support each other like this.

- Today I received a message complaining that there was now a correct way to play D&D and that people ignore the optional rules in our books. It is true that there is a correct way to play: whatever way gives your group the most joy. That's it. Enjoy yourselves out there! #DnD
- Your DM runs the D&D game you're playing. The rules don't run the game. My rulings don't run the game. Your DM does. And that game is a co-op game, all about creating a mutually fun experience for the people at the table. Work to bring smiles to one another's faces. #DnD
- My husband and I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary (and 23 years together) by flying to Scotland! 💖 🌈 🏴 While I’m away for the next week, make sure to follow your bliss in your D&D games. 😘
- Friendly reminder: no rule in D&D mandates your character's alignment, and no class is restricted to certain alignments. You determine your character's moral compass. I see discussions that refer to such rules, yet they don't exist in 5th edition D&D. #DnD
- 1. D&D has rules. 2. The DM decides how to use those rules. 3. I sometimes clarify what the rules do and do not say and share what our intent was. 4. The DM still decides how to use the rules. #DnD
- If a kingdom in D&D was forcibly separating children from their parents and putting the kids in detention centers, the heroes would do everything in their power to reunite those families. Let's be at least as good as the heroes in D&D. #DnD #Compassion
- A few times each year, someone on Twitter states or implies that I’m a “cishet.” I make sure to pass that on to my husband. Thankfully, he sticks with me.
- EXPLORER'S GUIDE TO WILDEMOUNT is a delightful introduction to the world of @CriticalRole. Like every D&D book, its rules have been tested by players, developed by the D&D team, and vetted by me. There are juicy subclasses, spells, magic items, and monsters awaiting you! #DnD@JeremyECrawford is the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount considered official D&D material? Certainly Mr. Mercer is an expert weaver of tales and is very familiar with the mechanics but are these subclasses, items, and spells tested? Has it gone through what other books go through?
- As LGBT+ people, we are regularly confronted by nonsense from those who want us to disappear or who try to gaslight us about who we are. We know who we are, and we won't disappear. Wherever you place yourself on the queer landscape, you've got folk beside you, including me. 💖
- The book Tasha's Cauldron of Everything (out Nov. 17) bubbles with new rules options for D&D: subclasses, class feature options, feats, magic items, full sidekick rules, the ability to customize your character's lineage, and more! Details here: dnd.wizards.com/products/table… #DnD
- Coming out is liberating. Depending on where you live, it might also be terrifying. Wherever you are on your path—whether you are in the closet, just came out, or have been out for years—you're not alone. Many of us have taken the same steps. We're with you. #NationalComingOutDay
- I often DM for 7 players. Some tips: Skip fights with little story relevance. Make sure each character gets at least one special moment of action, description, or humor per session. Let the characters chat. Listen. They’ll come up with great story ideas. Use those ideas. #DnD7 of my family have asked to play #familydnd. 6 have never played. This is awesome, but how do I DM for such a massive group!? I originally wanted to run LMoP, but with 7 players? Yikes. Any advice? @ChrisPerkinsDnD @mikemearls @JeremyECrawford #dnd
- Some real talk … I haven’t been on Twitter much this summer, thanks to travel, finishing the new Eberron book with our awesome team, and my family grappling with my stepdad’s Alzheimer’s. He died 3 weeks ago. I wish you could’ve met him. He was gentle strength personified.
