The only way we are going to tackle the global challenges of today is through partnerships. We must draw on the strengths that everyone has to offer. That is how we build a better future. Read my speech at the Global Partnerships Conference here ⤵️ gov.uk/government/spe…

Incredibly, Lord Frost just told me triggering Article 16 would ‘create a new reality’. It’s increasingly obvious he doesn’t know what he or the government would do next.

My thoughts and prayers are with Keir Starmer and his family. Keir’s mother-in-law died yesterday following an accident two weeks ago. Thank you to everyone for being so kind and supportive and for respecting his family’s privacy at this difficult time.

This is not true. Keir joined the Labour Party when he was 16. He resigned his membership for the years he was Director of Public Prosecutions because he was politically restricted as the head of a public service #factsmatter
Apparently, Keir *himself* only joined the Party less than a year before he ran for selection so had to get Ed Miliband to arrange a waiver from the NEC to allow him to run. It’s not just a “stitch up” when the NEC makes decisions against your candidate and fair game for you.

No. Michael Foot was an intelligent, kind, thoughtful and principled person who didn’t think about how he dressed. Total opposite.

Lord Frost just confirmed a few things to me and @LadyBasildon 1. He will NOT share the Government’s revised legal text of the protocol with UK elected politicians even though he’s shared it with Brussels...

As if we didn’t already know, Lord Frost resigning shows the government’s in chaos. The country needs leadership not a lame duck PM whose MPs and cabinet have lost faith in him. Boris Johnson needs to apologise to the public and explain what his plan is for the next few weeks.

The voters Labour lost in the north don’t care about the postcode or gender of the next Labour leader. They want to know that the next leader has the ability, intellect, compassion and credibility to be trusted with their kids’ futures, their mortgages and their pensions.
‘I didn’t lose my seat because Jeremy Corbyn is a man from North London’ - says @JennyChapman mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

Love the London people wondering what’s so special about Barnard Castle. Come and see, just not yet.

Working people of Britain just got their party back.
Couple of people started to sing Jeremy Corbyn at the start…Starmer carried on.. applause drowned them out

    Replying to @JennyChapman
This is damaging the UK’s international reputation, risks instability in Northern Ireland and is all completely unnecessary. Perhaps he just likes the drama.
