📚 2024 book thread 📚 - I tried it 2023 to vary my genre, 2024 is about enjoyment and headspace - so the majority of my reading will probably be romance... ❤️
Got to see my sister yesterday 🥳 her birthday is this week and I have bought her a book a month for the next year, most of them are charity shop finds, but I've spent three months trying to pick books I know she will enjoy or hope she will anyway ❤️
Trying to make it easier for my GCSE classes to support themselves... not used a 'literacy mat' for a while but I'm hoping this might help my students.... thanks for the inspiration (a long time ago) @MrGGalloway@MissdeBechi#GeographyTeacher
I genuinely don't believe most teachers leave because of the pay... I would think its mostly to do with workload/expectations.... I'm not sat here moaning about how much I earn.. I'm sat here wishing I wasn't spending another evening marking until 9.30pm.
A very short PPT and some activities about the Australian Fires, probably half a lesson, maybe more if you want to include the map tasks, videos hyperlinked too. If its useful its here... #geographyteacherdrive.google.com/drive/folders/…
The best thing my school have done for wellbeing is letting us take PPA off site (hugely helpful for p5) but this has literally made such a huge difference to my mindset today, came home, walked the dog, made a brew and now much more refreshed to do a few hours of work!!
Here's a short lesson on the current flooding in Pakistan, an IDEAL analysis, lots of discussion opportunities & an article linked to the flooding/climate change. Not anything hugely 'wow' - but if its useful, feel free to download here. #geographyteacherdrive.google.com/drive/folders/…
Weekly Geography Challenge - 30th March - I have linked the folder to a PDF and word version for both last weeks and this weeks in case they are useful #geographyteacher thanks for ideas from #teamgeog as always! drive.google.com/open?id=1d07AR…
I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm also sorry that people in the public eye are almost normalising this behaviour by behaving in a similar way. Sending love.
