What’s at stake in the fight over 127,000 Harris County drive thru ballots? Plaintiffs attorney Jared Woodfill in the courtroom after the decision: “If Harris County goes against Trump in large numbers then he could lose Texas... As far as I’m concerned this is ground zero.”

Waiting on a ruling in federal court from Judge Hanen on 127k drive through votes cast in Harris County. He said 15-20 minutes. The county expects 20k more people to choose drive through voting tomorrow (depending on this ruling)

Court isn’t back in session yet. About 50 people in the room waiting, zillions of you virtually. Harris County wants votes already cast to count, preserving those people’s right to vote. Judge Hanen’s response “They were relying on what their election officials told them to do.”

How's it going in Big Oil? Exxon recessed its AGM to extending voting as it tries to avoid losing board seats to a small activist fund. Dutch court ordered Shell to deepen planned GHG emissions cuts. Majority of Chevron shareholders vote in favor of reducing Scope 3 emissions.

Apache says it has one drilling rig in the Permian Basin "currently finishing its last well." It had 21 rigs in the first quarter. Won't drill/frack the rest of the year.

Asked my kid if he's caught up with homework. Him: I can't possibly keep up, they keep assigning things. Dude, SAME

Judge is ruling that the plaintiffs don’t have standing, throwing this case out, expects an appeal. He says he wouldn’t vote by drive thru tomorrow in case appeals courts disagree with him.

Some tech issues here in federal court today, where so many people dialed in the court itself could not get through at first. Still waiting for a ruling on Harris County drive through ballots. Three other Texas counties used this (Bee, Kerr, Calhoun) but no challenge to those.
