Because I’m not owned by the NRA, I can state the obvious: There are many gun safety proposals that would save lives and would also be totally compliant with the second amendment. Refusing to even *hear* those bills is a sign of weakness, not strength.

What if hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians couldn't afford health care and the federal govt said, "Ok we'll pay for 90% of it but the state has to pay 10%" and the state said, "No thanks, bc Obama." Imagine how nuts that would be. Now realize that's exactly what happened.

Aaaand they just did it *again.* They brought us into session yesterday, saw all the Dems were there, so they called a recess, then another, then another, then another, then another, but every time we came back all the Dems showed up. So they cancelled the vote.

Check this out - it’s a video that shows political corruption in our state Senate happening *in real time.* First I point out that GOP leadership keeps canceling the veto override vote every time all the Dems are present - hoping they can catch us unaware and override the veto.

MORE Breaking: GOP leaders say they will *not* appeal the court's ruling striking down our maps. That means we are 100% certain to get new maps for our state House and state Senate, and get them very quickly. This is simply remarkable. A fair map in North Carolina.
