Just chatted with Bainbridge's JR Ritchie, the 35th pick in the MLB draft by the Braves. He's leaving for Atlanta on Thursday and plans on signing his professional contract either Friday or Saturday. Looks forward to enjoying a dinner gathering with family and friends tonight.

This one hurts a lot. I honestly can't think of a more beloved coach in Kitsap. Rest in peace Dave.

Maybe it's just me, but when I was in high school, I didn't need a coach telling me I needed to get good grades. My parents made it clear it was my job. If I didn't get A/Bs, I'd blame one person: me. HS was easy compared to college. If you can't hang in HS, just wait ...

The @SouthKitsapSD school board tonight approved budget cuts that will eliminate the high school athletic director position. I'll tell you this: the folks that will inherit those duties better be ready to work loooooong days starting in 2019-20.
