- #NOLA has spoken. Super Bowl LIII earned a 26.1 rating in New Orleans, the lowest of of any market and the lowest ever in New Orleans.
- My lasting impression of Rondo came in locker room scrum after Anthony Davis had 53 vs. Suns: Me: You’ve played with & against a lot of great players in your career. Can you put into perspective what A.D. is doing right now? Rondo: Whatcha want me to do? Suck him off? Me: Uh.
- Ex-Saints WR Joe Horn said he saw Michael Thomas’ honorary TD celebration while working out in Tupelo, Miss. “When I saw him bring out that cellphone it brought a tear to my eye,” Horn said. “For him to pay homage to me in that way, let me know what kind of man Michael Thomas is"
- Tom Brady just went through Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes to win this 7th Super Bowl ring. Epic.
- I realize this isn't a popular take, but I'm somewhat befuddled by the sequencing of The Last Dance. Is anyone else finding the chronology difficult to follow? A lot of confusing bouncing around between seasons.

- Drew Brees leads the NFL in QB rating (115.7), completion percentage (74.4), game-winning drives (7) & fourth-quarter comebacks (6). He is 6-1 against teams with winning records. And most important, his team has the best record in the NFL: 13-2. He’s the MVP.
- Foster Moreau with an interesting alignment here. Good thing Chris Olave alerted him before the snap, otherwise he have set some kind of NFL record…
- I have learned this is Tulane’s recognition of the 20-year anniversary of Katrina.Not sure why, but Tulane has no Angry Wave decals on their helmets today.
- Sean Payton is now unequivocally the greatest holiday head coach in NFL history. He's 5-0 on Halloween (2-0), Thanksgiving (2-0) and Christmas (1-0).
- Traditionally, the #Saints have refrained from retiring jersey numbers. But no one should ever wear No. 9 in New Orleans again.
- The Saints have opened the season with back-to-back 40-point scoring games for only the second time in franchise history. The other time they did it: 2009.
