Thing is in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, it’s actually structured like a rom com, and after the “break up” scene, Venom goes to a gay club and drunkenly tries to sing about how he misses Eddie, and it’s played with complete sincerity
I say this all the time but classics often get a reputation for being “groundbreaking for their time” but that “now we see this stuff all the time it’s not as impressive” as if any movie has ever been like Citizen Kane
