- I'm truly delighted to have just received the Galbraith Award 2023, even though I don't deserve the very generous citation.
- Centre to States: I owe you money, but I won't repay what I owe. Instead, I will allow you to borrow money that you won't be able to repay. Imagine a regular economic agent trying this with anyone.
- Sudha Bharadwaj, who spent her life fighting for the human rights of others, will now spend her second birthday in jail denied of her own rights - even books are being denied to her by prison authorities! How long can such oppression go on?
- Now the National Statistical Commission no longer exists! Both remaining members have resigned after the government refuses to release the NSSO employment report they had vetted!
- Sorry Yogendra, I and many others are still shocked, even appalled, that you would advocate NOTA anywhere in the country in such a crucial election in which democracy itself is at stake.We've received a lot of feedback on the issue of use of NOTA in Lok Sabha elections in the NCT of Delhi. - Actually the other way around - there is a famous photo of Sitaram Yechury reading out a letter asking Indira Gandhi to resign as Chancellor in her presence - as she subsequently did. But too much to expect some basic research before desperately tweeting without knowledge....
