Parents/Players: JUCO is not an extended version of HS. In this current state of recruitment due to Covid, JUCO is a viable option. It's not a black mark on you as a player and a student. If you have been told this by anyone or organization, you got horrible advice!!!

I have just received some horrific news about my boy, Logan Schlemmer from @FW_DBACKS 14U team. He is in surgery due to a brain tumor behind his pituitary gland. Asking my baseball family, friends, teammates, former players and everyone on here to pray for this young man!! ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข

UPDATE: Spoke with Logan's mom and she said that Drs removed 2/3 of the cyst. It is BENIGN! Still has fluid in his brain. He was up and talking and smiling. The Power of Prayer is front and center. The Schlemmer family and the @FW_DBACKS family thank all of you praying for Logan

PLAYERS: If you think that JUCOs are for academically challenged, less than HS level, coaches have little experience... Go to a workout, games and then measure yourself against what you see. Same thing applies to D3, D2 and NAIA.

R U F***ing Kidding ME!!!!! WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING TO THESE YOUNG PLAYERS!!! WHY IS CHASING A F ****ING PLASTIC TROPHY THAT YOU CAN BUY FOR $10 WORTH THE RISK TO THESE YOUNG PLAYERS!!!! ABSOLUTELY NO F***ING EXCUSE!!!

Pitchers pitch. Throwers throw. Sucks how the concept of pitching gets overlooked just because they don't throw 97+. WTF are we doing!! Train pitchers to pitch. Show them to pitch. Velo comes with the territory of knowing how to command every corner of the strike zone.

In need of prayer for my mom. Her health is not good.

So incredibly sad to me how I witness parents purposely want for players other than their own to fail. Doesn't matter if it's, LL, HS, Travel, the team includes the family. Can't we just for 2 hours cheer for kids who are busting their ass on the field and doing their best!!!

Regardless of velocity, throwing Strike One is the most important pitch in an at bat. Establishing the inside part of the plate is the other.

Never knew this. The respect for one of the greats the game will ever see at 1B.

What a damn shame that at a 14U event this weekend, a team has to fly in kids just for the sake of winning a stupid trophy at 14U. And on the roster instead of the usual 11 to 14 man roster they had over 30 kids on that roster. WTH!

Several of my college coaching friends have told me that recruiting a kid also means recruiting their family. If a kid has parents that are off the hook, full of drama... College programs will balk and or turn away. Coaches have better things to do than deal with drama!!

    Replying to @PrepbaseballKY
Not even close to a strike!

sad to see at a tournament I asked a coach for their roster. Coach looked at me weird. I told him I am the PC at @IvyTechBaseball. Their team made jokes about it and insulted players on the other team. Coach handed me a hand written roster with no contact info. #BeBetterUSAPrime
