I was creative lead on this insane adventure. Riot has something called a Thunderdome which happens every year at Riot. People can form teams and work on whatever they want for a few days. We wanted to create something that's a bit different than just gameplay.
The cinematic for the game Angelstone was still one of my favorites to work on. I had an unusual amount of creative freedom in editing and animation. I was lucky that I got to express what I've learned from anime. Low budget projects give room for more than you'd think.
When creating or reworking a champion for League, often artists will do character studies to help discover the core of their character. I decided to revisit one of the studies I created back when we reworked Evelynn. #LeagueOfLegends#League10
Rock & Rule, 1983, Nelvana. More or less the Canadian version of Heavy Metal. It bombed on release sadly. That animation though, so good and weird. Looks like some characters rotoscoped, some classically animated, and some animated painting too? Good lordie.
Thresh Unbound Is here! Managed the animation supervision and direction for this. Such a fun project. Huge thanks to the talented team at Axis and the LittleZoo animation team and a big thanks to everyone involved at Riot Games.
A sequence I animated for the trailer for the game, Angelstone. We more or less had a ton of creative control so I went ham making it as anime and crazy as I could. Also the monster was really cute/adorable when it was in tpose.
