    I am disgusted and saddened to learn that two men have sexually assaulted a young Sikh woman in Oldbury. Early reports are saying that the men told the woman to 'go back to your country'. This is a vile, racist, misogynist attack that should be treated with the utmost

    Since August there have been reports of more than 2,000 violent incidents in Bangladesh, mostly targeting the Hindu community.   We must always stand firmly against anti-Hindu violence & support freedom of religion for all in Bangladesh.

    I cannot even begin to say how proud I am of our Redbridge team. This week two of our waste collection crew Nick and Mark saved 3 children from a house fire in Ilford & then just carried on work as though nothing had happened. Nick & Mark are heroes.

    50 years today since I arrived in England for a better life. My father worked all the hours he was awake and my mum sewed my clothes, no money to buy them. We worked hard and thankfully, hard work paid off. Life was tough but we were tougher. Thats me the baby of the family.
