- Replying to @DonutTexanAnyone with a stick SHOULD know how to do it. It's one reason I prefer sticks. I have an '85 Mustang GT that is an original 5 speed, an '89 GT that I converted from automatic to 5 speed & am currently converting an '83 Capri from a 4 cyl. w/ auto to a 351W w/ a 5 speed.
