- As I prepare for my final day in the Balkans, I am moved again and again by the stories I’ve heard this week. To have played a small role in the realization of a peaceful and prosperous Balkans is as humbling as it is gratifying.

- Returning to the Balkans has rekindled my deep affinity for the people of this uniquely inspiring region. Their stories of triumph over tragedy and progress over pain should make all of us aspire to do better for one another.
