Yup, US healthcare providers are thieves.
My wife pulled out a statement for her late mother. An EKG billed at $1600, settled for $160. If they could settle for $160 why did they try and charge $1600? BTW such a scheme under consumer law is a felony.

- Replying to @ianmilesSad thing is that my wife ran something she had written through an AI detector and it came back 90% sure. Essentially it's just looking for correct English. So the better your English, the more likely it is to think you're AI.
- Replying to @vidsthatgohardHis real strength is catching her again in his hands. Everything else is momentum, but when she’s up there, does a move and catches her, that’s where the strength is because her landing weight probably doubled. And she has to be confident he’ll catch her every time. Quite a feat.

- Replying to @DeathAngelUSAYup. Ain't it grand. Who knew calling everyone a Nazi might back fire one day?
- Replying to @MorePerfectUSIf $1bn of debt was so easily sold for $6.5m, why aren’t we looking at hospitals for over charging and ripping patients off? Cause I’m pretty sure most patients could have covered the cost of their healthcare if it cost 50x less.
- Replying to @jdunlap83 and @InternetH0FCome on, that would be awesome run with some one like that “remember that day I raced an Olympic champion? Lol”. Lighten up.

- Replying to @mattvanswolIt’s a very sobering moment when you realise the media are straight up lying to you. Our moment was a Trump rally in 2015. We got tickets, queued for a few hours, got some decent seats, fun evening. When we got home, went straight to the online newspapers to read what they had
- Replying to @mcsquared34I'm GenX and I wouldn't apply for a job without it stating the pay either. It's not a Christmas cracker, let's see what's inside, I want to know what the job is paying before I start even considering it.
- Replying to @HalfLifeOver and @RothmusYou’ve never filled up a car in Europe, I can tell.
- Replying to @Simon_P_Hannah and @SLC_RepaymentYour degree was wasted if you’re unable to understand that you need to pay more than the interest. And you had 3 years to figure that out.
