- Last week, I was honored to host my Japanese and Korean counterparts, Akiba Takeo and Shin Wonsik, in Washington to review our progress on implementing trilateral initiatives from the 2023 Trilateral Leaders’ Summit at Camp David.
- This morning, American citizen Tigran Gambaryan was released by Nigeria on humanitarian grounds and is now on his way back to the US to receive needed medical attention. We are grateful to our Nigerian partners and look forward to further strengthening our bilateral relationship.

- Yesterday, I spoke to my Kenyan counterpart, @AmbMonicaJuma, on matters of shared interest, including our bilateral relations, commitment to lasting peace in the Horn of Africa, and building on strong momentum for the MSS mission to Haiti, including at the UN General Assembly.
- The U.S. welcomes the opening of the Adré border crossing for life-saving aid and will continue to work with the parties to secure more humanitarian aid access. People are starving in Sudan - we will continue to work to end this terrible conflict.The U.S. welcomes recent agreements to resume humanitarian access across the Adré border and along the Dabbah Road, allowing lifesaving aid to reach millions of Sudanese. We will keep working with our partners to further expand and accelerate emergency aid deliveries in Sudan.
- The U.S. joined 22 countries in a statement & supported an @OAS_official resolution, adopted unanimously, in support of Venezuelan democracy. We urge Nicolas Maduro to accept the July 28 results & begin dialogue on a peaceful transition in accordance with the will of the people.
